In my first novel, Break in Communication, the focal point of the plot is Porthcurno Telegraph Station in Cornwall. The story is fiction but the location is factual and was one of the most heavily guarded facilities in Britain in WW2. In addition to hundreds of troops guarding the area, it was heavily camouflaged and bristling with guns of all calibres. The photo below shows a Porthcurno Pill Box disguised as a Bus Stop.
